Brodski, losif (Joseph) Aleksandrovich

(b. 1940)
   Russian poet. After having been arrested several times, he left the USSR in 1972, and settled in the US. His publications include the poem Isaak i Avraam, which deals with the sacrifice of Isaac. He also wrote a poem about the Jewish cemetery near Leningrad.
